In carrying out the above functions, the regional centre is assisted by a network of Study Centres, programme centres and work centres established in various reputed institutes located in different parts of Karnataka and Goa (Map - 1). IGNOU equip these centres with study material, library books, audio, video facilities, minimum infrastructural facilities (not in the case of recognised/ sponsored study centre and teleconferencing facilities (in some centres). The support services offered by the Part-time academic and administrative staff are providing information to students about the University and its programmes, Distribution of Study Material (for certain programmes), inducting students into the Open University, conducting lab sessions, assignment evaluation and feedback to students, providing facilities for audio, video sessions, conducting term end exam and entrance exam, providing teleconferencing facilities (only at some centres), providing library facilities, etc.
